HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) switches are the latest in the video switch category. Allows multiple HDMI devices such as a computer, DVD player, D-VHS player, or TV set-top box to output video to a single HDMI display device. With simple button control on the front of the device, it allows switching between connected devices.

It is nothing more than a compact audio/video connector that transmits an uncompressed digital stream. Compatible with all HDMI and HDCP-equipped HDTVs, this switch uses a single cable to connect an HDMI video source to an HDMI/HDTV video display. The device is available in 2, 3 and 4 ports and can maintain high video resolution.

The combination of a video switch and a video splitter in one device creates a video matrix switch that allows you to switch video from multiple computers to multiple displays.
